I definitely remember someone presenting a comic where Serini used “he” to refer to Sunny, but after review I’ve found instead two cases of “them”: one by Serini (bottom row, middle panel)¹, and one by Blackwing.

Sunny’s Eyes

Strip 1241

Sunny is a Beholder with 8 eyestalks instead of 10. Rich chose to give her eyes traditional Beholder powers. A beholder’s eyes work as follows. I have marked who got which eye in parentheses:

Finger of Death and Inflict Moderate Wounds are the two eyestalks that are missing. Personally I’ve felt they would’ve been disruptive to the story, but maybe Rich is trying to make a statement about Sunny’s personality. Or maybe the statement Rich wanted to make about Sunny’s personality made picking which eyes to remove easier for Rich.

Mimi

Mimi is a mimic, so her baseline statistics are known. Rich has demonstrated her Mimic Shape and Adhesive abilities, but the usual restrictions that limit mimics to object forms and prevent substantial size changes do not appear to apply.

Multiple cues suggest that Mimi is Advanced, giving her additional Hit Dice and a larger size. Her first appearance establishes a size reference, Roy calls her a “giant mimic,” and Serini describes her as the biggest. As of comic 1338, Mimi has been subjected to Blasphemy, a spell with level-dependent effects whose implications for her are not yet resolved on-panel.
